About
A born and raised Vermonter, Elana grew up hiking the Green Mountains, biased against fake maple syrup, and avoiding skiing for fear an injury would take her out of dance class. While always true to her roots, Elana has travelled the world as an actor/singer/dancer, including Dance Captain and Swing on the Pretty Woman National and Japanese Tours as well as two stints in feline form on the Cats National Tour, first as a Swing and then brought back as an immediate replacement in the main cast. Prior trips around the globe include voyaging as a singer/dancer aboard an Oceania luxury cruise ship as well as shows at various regional theaters, favorites including the New London Barn Playhouse, Northern Stage, and the Saint Michaelβs Playhouse. She also enjoyed ringmastering a New England circus, ringing in the holidays performing at Kingβs Island in Ohio, as well as numerous other workshops, concerts, galas, and short films over the years.
Despite being on the road for numerous contracts, Elana is based in New York City and has enjoyed many artistic endeavors as an actor, dancer, singer, and yoga teacher. Through formative years, she trained at various programs such as the Circle in the Square Summer Musical Theater Intensive, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel, Broadway Artists Alliance, and studied abroad at the London Dramatic Academy before graduating from Cornell University with a degree in theater and a minor in science/technology studies.
